It’s no secret that job hunting has become something of a nightmare. As a person who is very qualified to be a copywriter, I’ve sent out 100 resumes as an experiment and got a callback from…zero. Not even Valnet wants to have me, and that’s pay-by-view.

I’m far from the only person to have this happen. One of my friends who literally wrote a book on taxes was not even given a chance to go to a skills assessment level for the interviews. Another person I follow, a writer, documented a job search where he put in 10001 applications without a single hire.

As someone who works themselves to the bone for their career, it’s alarming for me to see how many people have been suffering under the absolutely bonkers process of trying to find a job.
