Hey readers!
For the better part of a year, I’ve been trying to hack this Substack thing. I so far haven’t been able to get far, sadly. Lately, for every person who subscribes paid, I get an unsubscribe and I think part of it is the way this blog is set up.
I have a lot of content on here. A LOT of content. So, what I’m thinking of doing is splitting it up into six different blogs:
- - Where I talk feminism, politics, and economics
- - Where I talk about celebrities, influencers, influencer lifestyles, and the impact it has on culture
- - All politics, all the time.
- - Where I’d talk money matters and the like
- - Where you get feminism, dating talk, and culture talk
- - Where you get to watch what I do, how I do it, etc.
If I do this, you can subscribe paid to any individual newsletter at a low price and get posts that are all about topics you care about. Otherwise, you can subscribe to Ossiana Tepfenhart and get it all at a discount.
But wait, there’s more…
Because I really need this Substack thing to work for me, I will also be changing the format of my newsletters.
I’ll be adding previews to all my paid articles so that you can see what I’m talking about and you get more commenting power.
I’ll be asking viewers what you want to talk about.
I’ll be reaching out to people who I want to collaborate with me.
Let’s talk about why I’m changing some of the formatting…
I’m not a fan of the hard sell most of the time. Unfortunately, the past ~2 years of Substacking were an experiment that failed for me. I was really hoping I wouldn’t have to increase the salesy vibe of the newsletter in order to convert.
However, I feel like that’s what I’m going to have to do if I’m going to make it big on here. And I have worked too damn hard to not make it big. If you have a specific thing you read, please subscribe to those newsletters. Otherwise, consider being a paid subscriber here.
My publications won’t exist without the funding to keep them up.
That’s the sad truth. Every subscriber I get, I am grateful for. But it’s getting to a “do-or-die” point in my career and I need to be blunt about the direction in which I’m going.
I’d love to hear your feedback on this. If you want to help me out with advice, please do. I’m here to make money and learn.
Love,
Ossiana
Ossiana, I am happy to support everything you do. You are a terrific writer with *so much to offer*. I will subscribe six times over, if need be. Just let me know. And to everyone else reading - Ossiana is the real deal. A terrific, heartfelt, never ever undersold and talented writer. She deserves success. Subscribe now.
Maybe you're just trying to cover too many topics over too large a range. I find myself super interested when you write about politics and the economic struggles of lower middle-class and working-class families and individuals. The genocides in Gaza and Darfur are on top of my list of topics , as well as the republican march toward authoritarianism, if not outright fascism. The attempts of politicians to kick solutions to climate change, hunger, and homelessness down the road of studies, committees, and gutless legislation despite having mountains of data available to help solve the problems.
