Shouldn't his family have noticed he was becoming unhinged on social media?

If I didn't have access to social media when I wasn't doing well, that's what would be the last straw.

If someone is reaching out for attention that bad, give it to them by getting them help.

Let's stop trying to shut up the people whose voices we don't like. If Substack banned this guy for what he said, they could ban any of us for whatever reason.

Substack is very deliberately hands off with moderation. If you're against that, there are other platforms you might prefer. Many are here because Substack refuses to censor.

Liberals can't be against book bans and then get mad that Substack won't censor the people they don't like.

I paid for the month simply to comment on this wholly misleading article. It's clear to me that you only read the very short piece of writing that you took a screenshot of, as you, like the media, labeled this all as "conspiracy", without doing any research, as he CLEARLY did. The bulk of his writings and investigating are compiled of PUBLIC DOMAIN documents, and always surrounded by context. While he may have stretched on a few of the connections, to say it's Q anon adjacent is a lie, full stop. He was articulate, intelligent and clearly dedicated to something, not just spouting opinion like SOOOOOO many on substack. While I'm sure he, like you, have emotional issues to work through, he stated MANY MANY times in his writing of his emotional state, his ability to work through it, and the explicit tolls this research was taking on he and his team.

Your take is akin to when the NRA spreads false media narratives about a shooter's mental state, to ignore the actual issue. Is this what you're attempting as well? It would do you good to learn about the world you inhabit, especially if you're going to take the time to comment on it.
