Why Are Conservative Men So Obsessed With Leftist Women?
I’m not sure it’s because conservative women are hard to find, y’all.
Man, is it me or are conservative guys really wildin’ out over their ailing dating lives? As someone who occasionally goes out on dates, talks to plenty of single women, and has actively tried to find a sugar daddy in recent years, I’ve noticed several major trends:
Conservative men are increasingly unwilling to admit their political beliefs in dating site profiles. It’s almost as if they realize their beliefs are repugnant and will actively block them from getting laid. Some stories I’ve seen online involve women finding out after the guy popped the question or getting serious!
When women say they want nothing to do with conservatives, men seem more prone than ever before to reprimand them. This is either done by insulting the woman or by trying to say something like, “We’re not all bad…You’re generalizing.” (Uh, you’ve voted to hurt women. If you do that, you are all bad.)
Right-wing dating gurus are starting to drop the grift. A lot of those major talking heads didn’t believe a lick of what they were saying. One even quit altogether and admitted it was all a lie.
Men are also getting increasingly aggressive on sugar sites. I personally noticed this when I started to get on certain dating sites for my own jollies. Not for nothing, but the number of men I’ve seen fly off the handle actually dissuaded me from even trying to deal with them. While this might not be a right-wing thing, I’m starting to think that sugaring may be a more conservative scene than people want to admit.
No matter how you look at it, conservative men are on the dating struggle bus. And it seems like quite a lot of these guys are more focused on chasing liberal women than they are sticking to their own kind…but why?
First off, I don’t buy the idea that conservative women are rare.
The most common reason for conservative men trying to date and marry liberal women is the numbers issue. Statistically speaking, there are fewer conservative women than there are conservative men.
However, the split isn’t that dramatic. A study from Pew shows that 45 percent of married women lean Democrat while 39 percent of married men are Democrats. So that means that more married women (apparently 50 percent) are actually right-leaning.
The same study took a look at all men and women, plus which way they voted. 47 percent of straight women are Republican-leaning, compared to 49 percent of straight women who lean left.
In other words, it’s roughly a coin flip bet that a straight woman off the street will support the GOP. So, no, it’s not a matter of conservative women being the rare unicorns that conservative men make them out to be.
Moreover, finding a conservative woman to date is not that hard. Conservative groups literally tell women to go to church and pray to find the right guy. All a man has to do is go to church and chat a “pure” woman up if he’s serious.
If you’re not the church type, don’t worry. Pearl Davis is still single, in all her conservative, PickMe glory. And there are plenty of girls just like her who will say anything to get a conservative man.
So, now that we’ve debunked the rare conservative girl trope, what’s really going on?
There are a lot of theories to this. I’m going to rate them in forms of likelihood, because it’s my idea of fun.
Getting Off On Converting Her
Did you ever notice how many stories online involve women who are shocked by their boyfriends’ “mask” dropping once they get more serious? While this terminology is often linked to abusive behavior, men can also “mask” their political leanings.
Whether it’s from delusion, entitlement, or some other psychological freakiness altogether, a lot of conservative men really get into the idea of “converting” a progressive woman. It’s a power play for them.
Moreover, several feminist women also picked up on something else. A lot of men find dating and marrying a feminist (or leftist) woman as a challenge. I believe author Trevor Noah explained that it’s their version of finding an exotic bird, clipping its wings, and throwing it in a cage just to prove they could.
This is why a lot of guys keep saying that it’s “easier to convert a leftist woman” than to find a conservative. For them, that’s their way of trying to gloss over the fact that they dig the challenge of making a woman betray her own need for human rights for them.
I don’t need to get into why this is repugnant. They don’t care that their votes hurt her, nor do guys who lie about their leanings care about what the woman wants. They believe their almighty, magical peen will make her forget their foul morals and misogyny.
Fetishized Styles
So, this may take people by surprise, but I am pretty famous for dressing in funky, alternative styles. When I was younger, I was a professional goth model. I did runway at the Steampunk World’s Fair and I was even in an ad in Gothic Beauty Magazine at one point.
Being goth had a very strange effect on the conservative guys of my college days. When it came to my day to day life, it was a perfect repellent. It would scare them off, they wouldn’t make comments about me being slutty, they would just stare and avoid being seen with me.
In private, though…The wild and weird stuff those same guys would text me would floor most other people. They just wanted to keep up the appearance of being “too good” for the goth girl.
Now that goth and alt styles are in high demand, a lot of conservative guys want to have a “Big Tiddy Goth Girlfriend” on their arm. It’s now a status symbol, so they feel entitled to one.
However, there’s one issue: goth is a counterculture movement that embraces differences. It’s inherently anti-fascist because it’s anti-conformist. So, the only way they can get that sweet, spooky pussy is to lie about their politics or deal with Nazi skinhead girls.

No Interest In Real Trad Living
I’ll let you guys in on a little secret: if I were to marry a man who made enough to support both of us, I would be fine with not working anymore and just keeping the house. In fact, that was what I actually wanted in life.
I mean, my hobbies literally include cooking and cleaning. I make a point of cooking my own bento boxes every day I go to the office for lunch and also make multi-course meals on a daily basis. Why? Because that’s how I relax.
The idea of being a housewife is insanely attractive to me — even though I realistically would still want to have a side gig to ensure that I always have extra money to fall back on, just in case. (I’m aware of the tradwife-to-homeless pipeline, and you should be too.)
But I digress. I genuinely, actively, and even aggressively pursued the housewife life for years. The funny thing is that when I’d say that to dates, even conservative men would balk at me. They would then call me a golddigger.
Almost all men would treat me like dirt or accuse me of golddigging when I said I wanted to be a childfree housewife who wanted a husband interested in kinky, weird sex. However, the worst offenders were often the guys who were either conservative or borderline conservative.
Conservative men don’t actually want the “traditional” housewives they claim to want because that means they’d have to bankroll a traditional wife. They want the perks of being a traditional husband minus the responsibilities.
These guys ain’t stupid. They know it’s liberal women who want to have careers. So they’ll act like it’s a whole issue for them while also pushing the majority of the housework on them, all while benefiting from the extra cash and labor.
In reality, they know they can’t afford a stay-at-home wife and that they would be miserable in a traditional marriage because they’d resent women for “spending all that money.”
They just can’t admit they benefit from feminism.
Conservative Sex Issues
Another major reason I think I see a lot of conservative men drooling over liberal women deals with sex. It’s no secret that most liberal women are far more sex-positive, exploratory, and educated about sex than conservative women.
Purity culture makes women feel ashamed for even reading about sex. Many women who grew up in conservative cultures know virtually nothing about sexual safety, and most have strange misconceptions about what men want in bed.
The damage purity culture does to female (and male) sexuality can be horrifying. I’ve heard women confess to crying after sex because they felt filthy for enjoying it, crying after a wedding night because they were ashamed that they weren’t virgins anymore, and more.
Because purity culture discourages women from learning how to give and receive pleasure during sex, some conservative women also tend to do rather…strange things in the bedroom. I’m not even talking about soaking here.
Without good sex ed, you end up with a lot of moves that are more painful than pleasurable. For example, one guy I knew had a girl who tried to chew on his penis to turn him on — and yes, she was a conservative-raised college girl. Another woman tried to literally blow into her husband’s penis on her wedding night so she could give him a blowjob.
That doesn’t make for a good sex life.
While most liberal women might not be as sexually open as I am, it’s safe to say most left-leaning women wouldn’t think of blowing into a man’s dick like an inflatable balloon. Between that and the reputation of being “easy,” it’s easy to see why conservative men might pursue lefty women.

Revenge Fantasies
Another major issue that I’ve noticed among conservative men is that they really, truly hate women. Like, they’re angry at women. It wouldn’t surprise me if some conservative men dated liberal women just because they wanted to hurt them.
Regardless of why they pursue liberal women, conservative men need to stick to dating conservative women.
I really wish these guys would get the hint. Lying is not sexy. Dating someone who doesn’t want to date you isn’t sexy. Pretending to have empathy then voting for Trump isn’t sexy.
There are plenty, and I mean plenty of women out there who go to right-wing church, drink raw milk, and wear red hats. Many are divorced. Some are homeless because they were tradwives before. It would make a lot more sense for conservative men to meet those women instead.
But they don’t seem to want that, do they?
It’s almost as if hate, shame, and entitlement isn’t a good look. Imagine that.
The old joke was that Republican men marry Republican women but they date Democratic women so they can have some fun first. (Misogyny noted.)
A nastier explanation is that it’s the same drive that had European antisemitic men lusting after Jewish women or working class racist white men in America wanting sex with Black women. It’s kind of creepy but documented. It’s not as benign as the men with animal wife fantasies or women who want to screw dinosaurs or other beasts.
